Sharing Mongolian culture is our passion. Saran, your host, was born and raised in a traditional yurt in Mongolia, while Rowan has been performing Mongolian music for more than 20 years. Together, we warmly welcome you to our special place in the peaceful countryside of Westerwolde. Besides overnight stays, we also organize cultural experiences and workshops, including traditional Mongolian cooking workshops where you can learn to prepare authentic dishes yourself. Behind our farmhouse, we have created a cozy 350 m² space for our yurt bed & breakfast, with plenty of quiet corners to relax and enjoy nature. Located in beautiful Wedde, it is the perfect base for hiking and cycling adventures.
The yurt is a cozy little home of its own, offering a back-to-basics experience with a touch of comfort and luxury. It is equipped with two single beds and space for a baby crib. Inside, you will also find plenty to discover, including music on vinyl, books, and a radio.

As soon as you step inside the yurt, you are immediately surrounded by a unique and cozy atmosphere. From left to right, the layout includes a dining table with chairs, a small whiskey cabinet, a kitchen cabinet with glasses, a wardrobe, two single beds, a mirror cabinet, a record player, and finally a small kitchenette — allowing you to make a full circle around the yurt.
The yurt features a small kitchenette equipped with kitchen utensils, a kettle, coffee, cooking stove, refrigerator, and microwave. Right next to the kitchenette you will find a dining table with chairs, storage space, and more.
Around the yurt you will find a private garden area with plenty of peaceful spots to relax and enjoy nature. The space includes a covered seating area with an outdoor fireplace and barbecue, an outdoor shower with cold water, and a clean compost toilet for extra convenience.
A compost toilet is located right next to the yurt. It is carefully cleaned and prepared for every new guest to ensure a comfortable and pleasant experience.
Next to the yurt you will find an outdoor garden shower, perfect for a refreshing moment during your stay. Please note that the shower uses cold water only — perhaps a fun opportunity to try the Wim Hof method! Cold, but wonderfully refreshing.
A traditional Mongolian breakfast with a modern touch is optionally included every morning. The breakfast is generally the same each day, so if you would prefer to arrange your own breakfast after the first morning, just let us know the evening before. Otherwise, Saran will happily prepare a fresh breakfast for you every morning with care and love.

Please let us know at least one day in advance if you would like to book breakfast or dinner, as everything is freshly prepared.
During this fun and interactive workshop, you will learn how to make authentic Mongolian dishes such as steamed dumplings or handmade Mongolian noodles under the guidance of Saran. The perfect opportunity to learn more about Mongolia, its culture, and its cuisine while cooking together. The workshop lasts approximately 2.5 hours.
